POLICIES FOR SCHOOL PROGRAMS (SCROLL DOWN FOR CAMP POLICIES)

POLICIES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTICE. PLEASE REVIEW OFTEN.

REGISTRATION

  • Participation in Playball on the same day as registration is not guaranteed.
  • Registration is not confirmed until you receive an email from Playball confirming receipt of payment and registration.
  • Registration forms should be submitted 48 business hours before the desired first class.
  • Late registration is welcome and will be prorated, space permitting.

INDIVIDUAL ABSENCE POLICY

  • No refunds or credits will be issued for non-attendance on a scheduled Playball day or a make-up day, regardless of the reason. This includes a child choosing not to participate, illness, etc.
  • No refunds or credits will be issued for previously unscheduled school closures like field trips or early dismissal.  Our calendar is based on the school's calendar as published at the beginning of the year, and we do not schedule Playball on days when the school will be closed.

MINIMUM ENROLLMENT. NO MAKE-UP DAY POLICY

  • We reserve the right to cancel any session at any time due to insufficient enrollment. Upon cancellation, a full refund will be issued without penalty.
  • Since class materials and staff are planned based on enrollment by the week, we cannot offer make-up days during different sessions due to a child's absence.
  • If we have an emergency with our coaches, we will retain a substitute to accommodate the planned day; however, if we cannot find a substitute in time, we will add time to the following classes or work with the schools to find a make-up day.

WITHDRAWAL FROM PLAYBALL

  • You may withdraw your child from the program at any time without penalty; however, requests to withdraw on the same day as class will count toward withdrawal the following week, and the charge for class that day will stand.
  • Withdrawal requests must be made in writing. Email is acceptable.
  • Verbal notification to a coach does not count as a withdrawal request.
  • Any pre-paid sessions that have not yet occurred will be refunded in full. We will not refund any sessions that have already occurred, regardless of whether your child attended.
  • Should Playball find it necessary to unenroll a child, a prorated refund will be issued for any unused classes that have not yet occurred. No refund will be given for classes that have already taken place, regardless of the child's attendance.

PHOTO/VIDEO/SOCIAL MEDIA/ZOOM

  • Atlanta Playball will sometimes take photographs and videos of Playball participants to use on its websites and social media pages, including www.atlantaplayball.com, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and promotional materials without compensation. The identities of ALL children will be kept confidential.
  • When Zoom is used in place of face-to-face instruction, our Zoom rooms will be private and protected per Zoom's security policies.
  • When Zoom is used in place of face-to-face instruction, your child will appear on camera and be visible to other participants.

PROGRAM CANCELLATION DUE TO COVID-19, MOVE TO ZOOM POLICY

  • If in-person lessons at your location are canceled due to COVID-19, an online class on the regularly scheduled day and time will be provided via Zoom.
  • Live Zoom lessons will be provided as needed until the scheduled season ends or in-person lessons can resume.
  • You may cancel your child's enrollment at any time. Requests to cancel must be made by email to info@atlantaplayball.com.  Cancellations take effect 7 DAYS AFTER RECEIPT OF REQUEST TO CANCEL. No refunds will be given.
  • No refunds will be issued for classes that have already occurred, regardless of the participant's attendance.
  • No refunds for individual absences due to COVID-19 or any other illness will be issued. Access to an online Playball class will be provided with a doctor's note or verification of required quarantine.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

In the case of inclement weather, we will move Playball indoors.

  • When indoor class is not an option and we have to cancel, we will either conduct the class via Zoom or make up the class by adding sessions at the end of the season, adding time to future classes, or adding a day or time during the week.
  • Makeup plans will be communicated to parents well in advance.
  • Refunds will not be issued for weather-related cancellations as they will be rescheduled.

SUMMER CAMP POLICIES

REFUNDS/ABSENCES

Neither refunds nor credits will be issued for non-attendance on any scheduled Sports Camp day, including in case of illness. This is because we pre-purchase all materials based on enrollment, pay our coaches for the day, and pay fees to the venue for camps, and, unfortunately, we can't return these items.

  • Cancellations 7+ days PRIOR to the first day of camp = Full Refund
  • Cancellations 5-7 days PRIOR to the first day of camp = 50% Refund
  • Cancellations 5 days or less PRIOR to the first day of camp = No Refund; however, if space is available, you may switch your child to a different session at no additional cost.
  • Should we find it necessary to remove a child, a prorated refund (minus a processing fee of $20) will be issued for the remaining session days.  No refund will be given for days that have occurred, regardless of the child's attendance.

LATE PICKUP POLICY

  • Campers not attending Stay & Play at the Hive must be picked up by 12:05 p.m.
  • If your child has not been picked up by then, a fee of $25 will be charged to your card on file.
  • Please contact us IMMEDIATELY if you are running late, as our coaches have other camps and classes to get to.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

In case of rain or excessive heat, we will conduct activities indoors.

DEFINITION OF FULLY, INDEPENDENTLY POTTY TRAINED for ATLANTA PLAYBALL

To attend our camp, every child must be able to identify when they need to use the restroom independently. In addition, they must be able to take care of all in-restroom tasks independently, including using the toilet, wiping, flushing, adjusting clothing as needed, washing and drying hands, and other tasks not named here.

  • Atlanta Playball 404 staff is not allowed to enter the restrooms with children except in case of a medical emergency, in which case a parent will be notified.
  • If a child has a toilet-related accident and requires a change of clothes, Atlanta Playball 404 staff are not permitted to assist, in any way at all, in changing their clothes.
  • Children must be able to change and put away their soiled clothes, or a parent must be prepared to return to camp to assist them in changing or picking them up from camp.
  • Refunds for children who can't participate in camp due to potty training and related issues will not be issued.

MINIMUM ENROLLMENT, LATE REGISTRATION, MAKE-UP DAY POLICY:

Sports Camp reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. If this happens, full refunds without penalties will be issued.

  • Playball staff will communicate this to enrolled parents two weeks before the camp start date to gain enrollment. The final decision will be made on the Wednesday of the week before allowing parents to find alternative childcare or camp.
  • If your child has to miss a day of camp and there is space available during another session, they are welcome to make up the missed day(s) at another time.

PHOTO/VIDEO/SOCIAL MEDIA:

Sports Camp by Atlanta Playball will take photographs and videos of participants to use on its website and social media pages, including www.atlantaplayball.com, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and other promotional materials without compensation.
