POLICIES FOR SCHOOL PROGRAMS (SCROLL DOWN FOR CAMP POLICIES)

program cancellation due to covid-19, move to zoom policy

  •  If Playball at your school is cancelled due to COVID-19, an online class at the regularly scheduled day and time will be provided via Zoom. 
  • Live Zoom lessons will be provided on an as needed basis until the scheduled season is over or until in-person lessons are allowed to resume.
  • You may cancel your child's enrollment at any time. Requests to cancel must be made by email to: info@atlantaplayball.com.  Cancellations take effect 7 DAYS AFTER RECEIPT OF REQUEST TO CANCEL. Any remaining pre-paid lessons will be refunded (7 days after request to cancel).
  • No refunds will be issued for classes that have already occurred, regardless of participant's attendance.
  • No refunds will be issued for individual absences due to COVID-19 or any other illness. Access to an online Playball class will be provided with a doctor's note or verification of required quarantine.

REGISTRATION

  • Participation in Playball on the same day as registration is not guaranteed. 
  • Registration is not confirmed until you receive an email from Playball confirming receipt of payment and registration.
  • Registration forms should be submitted 48 business hours prior to the desired first class.
  • Late registration is welcome and will be prorated, space permitting

zoom/PHOTO/VIDEO/SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Atlanta Playball may at times to take photographs and video of Playball participants to use on its websites and social media pages including www.atlantaplayball.com, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and promotional materials without compensation. The identities of ALL children will be kept confidential.
  • When Zoom is used in place of face-to-face instruction, our Zoom rooms will be private and protected per Zoom's security policies. 
  • When Zoom is used in place of face-to-face instruction, your child will appear on camera and will be visible to other participants.

individual ABSENCE POLICY

  • Refunds and credits will not be issued for non-attendance on a scheduled Playball day or a weather-related make-up day regardless of the reason. This includes a child choosing not to participate, illness, contact tracing, quarantine requirements, etc.
  • Refunds and credits will not be issued for previously unscheduled school closures like field trips or early dismissal.  Our calendar is based on the school's calendar as published at the beginning of the year, and we do not schedule Playball on days when the school will be closed. 

INCLEMENT WEATHER

  • In the case of inclement weather we will move Playball indoors.
  • When indoor class is not an option and we have to cancel, we will either conduct the class via Zoom, make up the class by either adding sessions at the end of the season, adding time to future classes, or adding an additional day or time during the week. 
  • Makeup plans will be communicated to parents well in advance.
  • Refunds will not be issued for weather related cancellations as they will be rescheduled. 

WITHDRAWAL FROM PLAYBALL

  • You may withdraw your child from the program at any time without penalty, however, requests to withdraw on the same day as class will count toward withdrawal the following week and the charge for class that day will stand. 
  • Withdrawal requests must be made in writing, email is acceptable.
  • Verbal notification to a coach does not count as a withdrawal request. 
  • Any pre-paid sessions that have not yet occurred will be refunded in full. We will not refund any sessions that have already taken place regardless of whether or not your child attended.
  • Should Playball find it necessary to un-enroll a child, a prorated refund will be issued for any unused classes that have not yet occurred. No refund will be issued for classes that have already taken place regardless of the child's attendance.

SUMMER CAMP POLICIES

REFUNDS/ABSENCES

  • Neither refunds nor credits will not be issued for non-attendance on any scheduled Sports Camp day, including in case of illness. This is because we pre-purchase all materials based on enrollment and unfortunately, can't return these items. 
  • Cancellations 7+ days PRIOR to the first day of camp = Full Refund
  • Cancellations 5-7 days PRIOR to the first day of camp = 50% Refund
  • Cancellations 5 days or less PRIOR to the first day of camp = No Refund, however if there is space available, you may switch your child to a different session at no additional cost. 
  • Should we find it necessary to remove a child, a prorated refund (minus a processing fee of $20) will be issued for the remaining session days.  No refund will be issued for days that have already taken place regardless of the child's attendance.

LATE PICKUP POLICY

  • Campers who are not attending Stay & Play at the Hive must be picked up by 12:05 p.m. 
  • If your child has not been picked up by then, a fee of $25 will be charged to your card on file. 

inclement weather

  • In case of rain or excessive heat, we will conduct activities indoors.

MINIMUM ENROLLMENT, no MAKE-UP DAY POLICY

  • We reserve the right to cancel any session at any time due to insufficient enrollment. Upon cancellation, a full refund will be issued without penalty.
  • Since materials and staff for camps are planned based on enrollment by the week, we are unable to offer make-up days during different sessions due to a child's absence. 

DEFINITION OF FULLY, INDEPENDENTLY POTTY TRAINED for ATLANTA PLAYBALL

  • In order to attend our camp every child must be able to identify when they need to use the restroom independently. 
  • In addition, they must be able to take care of all in-restroom tasks independently including using the toilet, wiping, flushing, adjusting clothing as needed, washing and drying hands and any other tasks not named here. 
  • Atlanta Playball staff is not allowed to enter the restrooms with children except in case of medical emergency in which case a parent will be notified. 
  • If a child has a toilet related accident and requires a change of clothes, Atlanta Playball staff are not permitted to assist in any way at all, in changing their clothes. 
  • Children must be able to change and put away their own soiled clothes or a parent must be prepared to return to camp to assist them in changing, or pick them up from camp. 
  • Refunds will not be issued for children who can't participate in camp due potty training and related issues.  

MINIMUM ENROLLMENT, LATE REGISTRATION, MAKE-UP DAY POLICY:

  • Sports Camp reserves the right to cancel any session at any time due to insufficient enrollment. In the event that this happens, full refunds without penalties will be issued. 
  • If your child has to miss a day of camp and there is space available during another session, they are welcome to make up the missed day(s) at another time.

The identities of ALL children will be kept confidential.

AGREEMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN SPORTS CAMP BY ATLANTA PLAYBALL

Participation in all sports can be inherently dangerous and, regardless of the care taken to avoid injury, it is impossible to ensure the safety of all participating individuals. While participating in Sports Camp by Atlanta Playball, accidents do happen. Some of these accidents may be minor like collisions with other players, collisions with the ground, and being struck by the ball or objects. Other injuries may also include:· Minor injuries like scrapes, bruises, strains, blisters, and sprains

  • More serious injuries like broken bones, concussions, muscle tears, and ligament tears
  • Catastrophic injuries like heat stroke, cardiac arrest, and death

I HAVE READ THE PRECEDING INFORMATION AND DO NOT NEED FURTHER CLARIFICATION

 I know, understand, and appreciate the risks associated with participation in Sports Camp by Atlanta Playball and I am voluntarily enrolling my child in the activity. Sports Camp by Atlanta Playball takes every measure to create and maintain the safest environment possible always however I acknowledge that the participant is assuming all of the inherent risks of sports. I further understand that in the event of a medical emergency, Playball will call EMS to render assistance and that I will be financially responsible for any expenses involved  

WAIVER OF LIABILITY

Waiver: I, as parent/guardian waive any and all claims against Kids For Fun, LLC (dba Atlanta Playball) and its coaches, and staff for any illness or injury which may result directly or indirectly from participation in this activity. My child has my permission to participate in the Sports Camp by Atlanta Playball program. I understand that it is the express intent of all staff and personnel to provide for the safety and protection of my student(s) and, in consideration for allowing my student(s) to use these facilities, I hereby COVENANT NOT TO SUE and FOREVER RELEASE this facility, affiliated and partner companies and organizations, property owners and lessors, staff, contractors, subcontractors, teachers, coaches, owners, directors and other members involved in this facility’s program(s), from all liability and for any and all damages and injuries suffered by my student(s) during instruction, supervision, and/or control during any and all classes or extra activities. I understand that Kids for Fun, LLC (dba Atlanta Playball) is exempt and non-licensed by Bright from the Start. I have read the rules and policies and I agree to them as written.
